Sulphur is the essential building block of life; and in its amino acid form represents a key constituent of healthy cell tissue. Cell regeneration requires regular supplies of sulphur to support the natural healing process. Unfortunately, due to the limited variety of modern pasture species, and the processing and storage of concentrated feeds, sulphur is often lacking in the equine diet. Feeding elemental sulphur is of no benefit to the horse as it is not absorbed in that form. If not efficiently repaired by the body these minor stresses can turn into serious problems, such as strained tendons or stiffness. Therefore Superflex is recommended for use both where deterioration is evident, and as an insurance measure.
