| NAF FIVE STAR SUPERFLEX |
| Unsoundness in the leg is by far the most common cause of incapacitation in the horse, due to pressures of training and competing. Superflex contains ingredients, organic sulphur, chondroitin sulphate and glucosamine, for the nutritional support of joints. Sulphur is the essential building block of life; and in its amino acid form represents a key constituent of healthy cell tissue. Cell regeneration requires regular supplies of sulphur to support the natural healing process. Unfortunately, due to the limited variety of modern pasture species, and the processing and storage of concentrated feeds, sulphur is often lacking in the equine diet. Feeding elemental sulphur is of no benefit to the horse as it is not absorbed in that form. Organic sulphur is entirely natural to the horse's diet, therefore it is easily absorbed and is useful to joints both to support repair to bone, connective tissue and swelling. Chondroitin Sulphate and Glucosamine are found as integral parts of the cartilage within the joint. It is thought that cartilage is the first part of the joint to suffer under increased pressure, therefore it is vital that cartilage repair is supported. Chondroitin sulphate is also present with-in healthy synovial fluid, which itself is essential to soundness and joint integrity. Many minor strains and traumas, which are part of the everyday training of performance horses, occur at the subclinical level and go undetected by the trainer or owner. If not efficiently repaired by the body these minor stresses can turn into serious problems, such as strained tendons or stiffness. Therefore Superflex is recommended for use both where deterioration is evident, and as an insurance measure. Superflex can also be useful for the older horse, as the natural regenerative processes diminish. Key Ingredients: MSM, Chrondroitin sulphate, Glucosamine. |
